Medscape UK, a division of WebMD, is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager of Strategic Accounts to drive sales of digital marketing and medical education solutions to senior brand managers and marketing teams in the pharmaceutical industry. This consultative sales role requires a deep understanding of HCP engagement, digital advertising, and content marketing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a hunter mindset, building new relationships and growing existing accounts to become a trusted partner for clients.
Must Have:
  • Identify, pitch, and secure new business with pharma brand managers, digital marketing teams, and agency partners.
  • Manage and expand key accounts, ensuring long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Sell a unique portfolio of digital engagement solutions, including branded content, targeted media campaigns, virtual events, and educational programs.
  • Consult with clients to craft data-driven, compliant, and effective marketing strategies.
  • 5+ years of proven success in selling digital marketing solutions to pharma (medical device or biotech experience also considered).
  • Strong network of pharma brand managers, digital marketing teams, and tier-one agencies.
  • Deep understanding of pharma marketing regulations, digital advertising, and HCP engagement strategies.
  • Ability to build trusted, consultative relationships at senior levels.
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Manager of Strategic Accounts to drive sales of Medscape’s suite of products to senior brand managers and marketing teams in the pharmaceutical industry.

This is a consultative sales role, requiring a deep understanding of HCP engagement, digital advertising, and content marketing strategies in pharma.

The ideal candidate will have a hunter mindset—building new relationships, growing existing accounts, and becoming a trusted partner for our clients. Backed by industry-leading sales, marketing, and client support teams, you’ll help top pharma brands develop impactful digital strategies that resonate with healthcare professionals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, pitch, and secure new business with pharma brand managers, digital marketing teams, and agency partners.
  • Manage and expand key accounts, ensuring long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Sell a unique portfolio of digital engagement solutions, including branded content, targeted media campaigns, virtual events, and educational programs.
  • Consult with clients to craft data-driven, compliant, and effective marketing strategies.
  • Represent Medscape at industry conferences and client meetings across the UK, Europe, and the US.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 5+ years of proven success in selling digital marketing solutions to pharma (experience with medical device or biotech also considered).
  • Strong network of pharma brand managers, digital marketing teams, and tier-one agencies.
  • Deep understanding of pharma marketing regulations, digital advertising, and HCP engagement strategies.
  • Ability to build trusted, consultative relationships at senior levels.
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Passion for digital innovation and data-driven marketing.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-oriented sales environment.
