Job Summary
Responsible for magnetic & optical sensor applications engineering on IOT products. This role involves providing technical support, influencing design-in activities, and collaborating with sales and marketing. Key tasks include hardware and firmware verification, debugging, and preparing technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have an EE background with over 3 years of experience in keyboard/mouse/joystick and/or IoT application development, strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python, and familiarity with ARM architecture and RTOS.
Must Have
- EE background with knowledge on keyboard/mouse/joystick design
- Knowledge on magnetic & optical sensor
- Familiar with MCU firmware development, assist customer on both SW and HW verification & debugging
- Work as 1st level technical contact window, understand customer requirement to provide technical support and influence design-in activity aggressively
- Collaborate with internal Sales and Marketing teams to support design-in activities across a wide range of customers
- Solve customer problems by utilizing e.g. magnetic field simulation tool, development kit and MCUs
- Prepare technical documentation, application note, simulation report and design guide
- Collect technical trend, feature requirement, pain points and improvement idea to product line
- Bachelor/Master in Electrical/Electronics from reputed Institutes
- Over 3 years of hardware and firmware(FW) development experience in keyboard/mouse/joystick and/or IoT application
- Experience with magnetic and optical sensor
- Experience in C/C++ and Python programming Language
- Experience with ARM processor Architecture
- Experience in firmware development environment such as Eclipse IDE, VScode IDE
- Experience with the GNU software development toolchain, including gcc, binutils and gnumake
- Familiar with various debugging techniques and experience in using debugging tool such as J-LINK/J-TRACE
- Communication interface skills: I2C, UART, CAN, USB, SDIO,SPI
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems(RTOS)
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal

In your new role you will:
- EE background with knowledge on keyboard/mouse/joystick design.
- Knowledge on magnetic & optical sensor.
- Familiar with MCU firmware development, assist customer on both SW and HW verification & debugging.
- Work as 1st level technical contact window, understand customer requirement to provide technical support and influence design-in activity aggressively.
- Collaborate with internal Sales and Marketing teams to support design-in activities across a wide range of customers, including Tier 1 and OEMs, with the goal of maximizing the inclusion of Infineon products in customers’ BOMs for IoT applications.
- Solve customer problems by utilizing e.g. magnetic field simulation tool, development kit and MCUs.., ensuring a streamlined and efficient workflow.
- Prepare technical documentation, application note, simulation report and design guide to support customers design-in knowledge.
- Collect technical trend, feature requirement, pain points and improvement idea to product line as a product roadmap planning reference.
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor/Master in Electrical/Electronics from reputed Institutes
- Over 3 years of hardware and firmware(FW) development experience in keyboard/mouse/joystick and/or IoT application.
- Experience with magnetic and optical sensor. (e.g. position detection, angle detection, current monitor, laser scanning, display quality...)
- Experience in C/C++ and Python programming Language.
- Experience with ARM processor Architecture.
- Experience in firmware development environment such as Eclipse IDE, VScode IDE, etc.
- Experience with the GNU software development toolchain, including gcc, binutils and gnumake.
- Familiar with various debugging techniques and experience in using debugging tool such as J-LINK/J-TRACE, etc.
- Communication interface skills: I2C, UART, CAN, USB, SDIO,SPI.. etc.
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems(RTOS). (e.g ARM/RISC V)
- Knowledge of version control tool such as Git is a plus.
