Job Description

Broadcom is seeking a senior-level STA engineer to contribute to highly integrated data center connectivity products. This role involves developing and validating timing constraints, performing static timing analysis, defining and implementing timing signoff methodologies, conducting pre-route timing checks, automating timing analysis processes, providing guidance on clock tree synthesis, and ensuring compliance with timing signoff criteria. Qualifications include experience with high-complexity silicon, familiarity with hierarchical timing constraint development, knowledge of clock tree planning, experience with timing ECO creation, proficiency in STA and synthesis tools, and a strong understanding of ASIC design flows.

Must Have:

  • Perform static timing analysis (STA) using industry-standard tools (e.g., PrimeTime, Tempus).
  • Define and implement timing signoff methodologies, including process corners, derates, and uncertainties.
  • Conduct pre-route timing checks and quality of results (QoR) analysis.
  • Automate timing analysis processes using scripting languages such as Tcl or Perl.
  • Provide guidance on clock tree synthesis and optimization for energy-efficient designs.
  • Ensure compliance with timing signoff checklists and criteria.

  • Bachelors and 8+ years of related experience; or Masters degree and 6+ years; or PhD and 3+ years of related experience.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $192,000.

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
