Job Summary

Nasdaq's 10-week summer internship program offers students real exposure to global markets and technology. Interns work on meaningful projects with Nasdaq teams, gaining hands-on skills and making an impact. The program provides mentorship, senior leader connections, and professional development. Global Procurement, within the Finance & Workplace team, manages all Nasdaq vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective procurement and operational excellence for hardware, software, and services.

Must Have

  • Drive projects to design and implement best business practices, process improvements, and sourcing strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and vendors on quotes, purchases, and compliance, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
  • Assist with vendor onboarding, contract preparation, payments, and staff reimbursements while maintaining accurate records.
  • Participate in supplier selection, negotiations, and implementation of contracts to achieve cost-effective procurement and operational excellence.
  • Contribute to supply chain setup and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product availability, lead time, and inventory turnover.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in finance, computer science or business.
  • Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and take on new challenges.
  • Ability to work well with others and contribute to a team environment.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Curiosity about technology, finance, and global markets.
  • Basic skills in Excel, programming languages or other visualization tools like Power BI.

About Our Internship Program

Nasdaq’s Internship Program is a 10-week summer experience designed to give students real exposure to how global markets and technology come together. Our interns work on meaningful projects alongside Nasdaq teams, gaining hands-on skills that make an impact on the business.

Global Procurement, within the Finance & Workplace team, manages all vendor relationships so that the company gets what it needs at the best prices, putting in place global arrangements and processes which benefit all associates locally. This includes hardware, software, and services of all kinds – anything the company buys.

What You’ll Do

This position will be located in New York City and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
