System Administrator

Scorewarrior, a game developer and publisher based in Limassol, Cyprus, is seeking a System Administrator to join their team. The company focuses on the 4X strategy genre with the goal of making its hit game, Total Battle, the top strategy game globally. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and develop with the support of experienced colleagues. Responsibilities include solving employee issues via the service desk, administering operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS) for smooth daily operations, resolving network and VPN issues, managing general services like Google Workspace, Youtrack, Git, Gitlab, Teamcity, DNS, and LDAP, purchasing and configuring office equipment, setting up and upgrading workplaces, and responding to incidents with post-mortem analysis. The role also involves maintaining the knowledge base and monitoring company services and infrastructure using the prometheus/grafana stack.

We are looking for a System Administrator with the intention to learn and develop, enlisting the help and support of experienced colleagues.

Tasks to be solved:

• Solve problems for employees, work with service desk

• Administer OS (Linux, Windows, macOS). Ensure smooth daily operations.

• Solve issues on the office network, VPN.

• Administer general purpose services: Google Workspace, Youtrack, Git, Gitlab, Teamcity, DNS, LDAP and others.

• Purchase and configure office equipment.

• Assemble and upgrade workplaces, configure the OS and software.

• Promptly respond to incidents, solve them, draw conclusions for the future (post-mortem).

• Maintain the knowledge base in actual state.

• Monitor the company services and infrastructure (we are using prometheus/grafana stack).

To work, you will need:

• Solid knowledge of network technologies (TCP/IP, switching, routing, firewall, DNS, VPN).

• Linux console skills and experience writing bash shell scripts.

• Experience in administration of Windows, Linux, Mac desktops.

• Experience in administration of various general-purpose services.

• Ability to diagnose problems in the local network and problems with the PC.

• Good knowledge of the English Language.

A plus:

• Experience with Docker, Ansible.

• Experience in automating your work.

• Basic knowledge of Python, Golang or another programming language.

• Passion for games.
