Job Summary
The System Qualification Engineer will be involved in optimizing design alternatives in early development phases and collaborating with various R&D disciplines such as System Engineering, Physics, Software Engineering, and Mechanics. They will perform detailed risk assessments from module to system level and define experiments to validate the design. The engineer will lead comprehensive testing on simulators and real tools, analyze collected data, and share conclusions on module performance, providing recommendations for performance specifications and corrective actions. They will also approve final designs and specifications and develop validation tools for modules and system performance evaluation. This role requires close collaboration with R&D disciplines, conducting complex experiments, and analyzing data to improve existing technologies.

Applied Materials develop complex multidisciplinary systems for metrology and quality control processes in the semiconductors industry.
Our systems contain high-end Physics , HW , Algo and SW all combine into unique system allowing our customers extend and improve their existing technologies
System Qualification Engineer day to day work contain examine new modules and system improvements, assess their integration complexity to existing / new system and how they might affect the system overall performance. Work involves close collaboration with various RnD disciplines and conducting complex experiments on real tools or dedicated simulators until approval or rejection of the suggested design
Roles & Responsibilities
Early involvement in development phases to optimize suggested design alternatives
Close collaboration with R&D disciplines such as System Eng , Physiscs , SW eng., Mechanics etc.
Perform detailed risk assessment from module to system level and assess the impact on system performance and integrity
Define set of experiments to validate the design, while considering efficient risk reduction
Lead comprehensive testing on simulators & real tools and perform detailed analysis on collected data
Share conclusions on the module performance and existing gaps to address
Provide recommendations for performance specs and promote corrective actions for future designs
Approve final design and specs to be “field ready”
develop validation tools and capabilities for modules and system performance evaluation
20 % travel for new designs implementation and for complex system issues troubleshooting
