Summary of Position
The Systems Administrator – Infrastructure is responsible for ensuring that Medtech staff and contractors can perform their roles effectively by maintaining secure, connected, and reliable technology systems. This role involves day-to-day monitoring, repair, and installation of approved hardware and software, along with providing support, training, and troubleshooting as required.
You will play a key role in maintaining Medtech’s core systems, infrastructure, and cloud environments, while ensuring data security, compliance, and operational excellence.
Key Outcomes and Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
- Ensure Medtech users and contractors have uninterrupted access to approved systems and software required to perform their roles.
- Provision, maintain, and repair desktop/workstation hardware and approved software.
- Add and maintain end-user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Help maintain the IT fixed asset register for warranty, licensing, allocation, and software management purposes.
System and Platform Support
- Support core operational platforms including Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM), SharePoint, Office 365, Telephony (8x8), Azure Active Directory, DevOps, and related infrastructure.
- Monitor incident management queues and ensure completeness of outsourced service operations and system availability (servers, applications, and networks).
- Contribute to software/system deployments and support CAB (Change Advisory Board) and release management processes.
- Manage licensing and subscriptions to ensure compliance and system availability.
- Manage Medtech’s cloud infrastructure and work closely with contracted service providers to maintain expected service levels.
- Provide scheduled and rostered on-call support where required.
Security and Compliance
- Ensure a secure information and systems environment for all Medtech staff and contractors.
- Assess and maintain appropriate security configurations within infrastructure and deployed applications to protect company data and code.
- Maintain security configuration of firewalls, servers, and other infrastructure components.
- Ensure all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Assist with regular reviews of ISO and ISMS policies and procedures.
- Assist with internal and external audits as required.
What You Bring to the Role
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in systems administration.
- Broad and practical knowledge of computer operations, operating systems, and network communications.
- Demonstrable experience with Azure Cloud platforms, including Office 365, Dynamics, Azure Active Directory, MDM, and Azure Security tools.
- Customer-service driven, with advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a collaborative and open approach.
