Job Summary
Responsible for the optimal functioning of system and storage components, implementing infrastructure coherence tools, and maintaining a global vision of information systems. This role involves developing and monitoring usage rules, installing and testing active connections and system software, and ensuring operability of solutions. The Systems Administrator will also act as a technical referent, defining roadmaps for infrastructure developments and changes in services offered to businesses and internal customers.
Must Have
- Responsible for optimal functioning of system and storage components
- Implement tools guaranteeing infrastructure coherence
- Develop rules for using necessary tools in accordance with company standards
- Install active connections (ESX, servers, storages) and system software
- Understand impacts on production and ensure operability of proposed solutions
- Control project security constraints
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field
- 8+ years experience with VMware, Citrix, Storage, and Windows Server
- Expert knowledge in Data Storage Solutions administration
- Expert familiarity with Server/Storage hardware
- Expert VMware Administration (vSphere, vSAN, network engineering, firewalls, servers, networks, operating systems)
- Expert Citrix App and Desktop Virtualization
- Advanced knowledge in Systems Backup Technologies
Good to Have
- Linux OS knowledge
- VMware, Citrix, NetApp certifications
- 7 years in server hardware maintenance and support

§ Has global vision of information systems and good knowledge of the company processes;
§ Develops rules for using the necessary tools, in accordance with company standards;
§ Documents, promotes and monitors their applications;
Installation and Testing
§ Installs the active part of the connections (ESX, servers, storages) and system software;
§ Respects the installation, connection ... procedures for hardware and software;
Monitoring
§ Understand the impacts on production;
§ Ensure the operability of proposed solutions and the associated organization;
§ Control of project security constraints.
Technical Referent
§ Define roadmap for infrastructure developments (new hardware, software version, sourcing strategy);
§ Define the roadmap of changes in the services offered to businesses and internal customers;
Qualifications
Job Requirements
Education and/or Experience
§ Bachelor's Degree required in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field.
§ Requires 8+ years experience - VMware, Citrix, Storage and Windows Server.
§ Prefers Linux OS knowledge
§ Prefers VMware, Citrix, NetApp certifications.
§ Prefers 7 years in server hardware maintenance and support.
Knowledge/Skills
§ Data Storage Solutions knowledge and administration – Expert (NetApp, EMC – preferred)
§ Server/Storage hardware familiarity – Expert (Dell, HP, EMC, NetApp hardware – preferred)
§ VMware Administration – Expert
o High proficiency with vSphere, vSAN, and other VMware products and platforms. In general, they must be adept at network engineering, with working knowledge of firewalls, servers, networks, and operating systems
§ Citrix App and Desktop Virtualization – Expert
§ Systems Backup Technolgies – Advanced (Veritas, Commvault – Preferred)
