Job Description

The Technical Advisor at SailPoint will build a deep understanding of SaaS and/or Software solutions, then serve as a technical lead on customer engagements. They will apply client and partner communication skills and industry knowledge to share best practices for SailPoint products and identity governance. Within a year, they will become a trusted advisor to customers, partners, leadership, and less experienced team members, providing strategic direction and solving complex problems.
Good To Have:
  • Manage, mentor, and coach direct reports.
  • Manage project scheduling, budgeting, risk, and weekly status.
  • Working with CSM renewals' team to lower churn risk, increase SaaS adoption, and either generate leads and/or manage new advisory services opportunities.
  • Responsible for existing Advisory services clients renewal opportunities and closure.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS.
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming.
  • IdentityIQ or IdentityNow Certification.
  • Experience with data science & machine learning language models.
  • CISSP, CCSP or CISM security certifications.
  • SAP GRC or SAP Identity experience.
Must Have:
  • Provide strategic direction to customers and implementation partners for a successful Identity Security Program.
  • Perform assessment on customer’s current Identity landscape and build out their future identity road map.
  • Build out customers’ Identity role based access control and application onboarding program.
  • Ensure SailPoint best practices are followed through the project for a successful project delivery.
  • Advise and provide direction to junior resources on the project implementation.
  • Solve complex problems using product’s Atlas extensibility platform (hands-on implementation work).
  • 8+ years of experience in technical consulting role.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with any Identity provisioning and governance products.
  • Experience with networking, directory servers, databases.
  • Experience with Web based APIs.
  • Experience with scripting framework (Angular, Node JS, TypeJS, etc..).

What You will Do:

The Technical Advisor at SailPoint begins by leveraging their experience to build a deep understanding of our SaaS and/or Software solutions. Within a month or two, they are serving as a technical lead on customer engagements and cases where they will employ their client and partner communication skills, as well as their industry knowledge to share organizational best practices for SailPoint products and identity governance. After their first six months, Senior Solution Architects will have established themselves as both technical and consultative experts within the Professional Services organization, and by the end of their first year they will have become a trusted advisor to customers, partners, leadership and to less experienced team members.

Required Responsibilities:

  • As a trusted advisor, provide strategic direction to customers and implementation partners for a successful Identity Security Program
  • Perform assessment on customer’s current Identity landscape and build out their future identity road map
  • Build out customers’ Identity role based access control and application onboarding program
  • Ensure SailPoint best practices are followed through the project for a successful project delivery
  • Advise and provide direction to junior resources on the project implementation
  • Provide pros & cons to customers' for building custom tools to meet their unique & complex business goals
  • Maintain healthy business relationship with customers and partners
  • Work with other advisory services leads, program managers and provide recommendations on any changes needed for the program.
  • Work with other cross functional teams to understand the product roadmap, product limitations and advise strategic direction to the customers
  • Document and present SaaS product adoption gaps
  • Recommend areas where SaaS products consumption can be improved
  • Solve complex problems using product’s Atlas extensibility platform (hands-on implementation work)

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in technical consulting role
  • Strong communication and presentation skills needed to perform identity security program assessments and provide a road map
  • Experience with any Identity provisioning and governance products is required
  • Experience with networking, directory servers, databases is required
  • Experience with Azure, AWS is a plus
  • Experience with Web based APIs is required
  • Experience with scripting framework (Angular, Node JS, TypeJS, etc..)
  • Experience with Object Oriented Programming is nice to have
  • Strong organizational, leadership and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Documentation management and ability to use project management tools
  • Attention to details even under pressure
  • Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • IdentityIQ or IdentityNow Certification is a plus
  • Experience with data science & machine learning language models is a plus
  • CISSP, CCSP or CISM security certifications are a plus
  • SAP GRC or SAP Identity experience is a plus
