Position Overview
The role of the Technical Sales Specialist is to discover, document, and present how Autodesk's solutions can help our customers achieve their desired
outcomes.
You understand the capabilities of Autodesk solutions, and you can work across the portfolio to help our customers find the pieces they need. You
will work with an extended team of internal sales professionals and external channel partners to increase revenue and help customers succeed. You will perform deep technical demonstrations with end-users and be part of high-level conversations with executives, tailoring the dialogue to match.
You have a consulting mindset; understand BIM, VDC, and Construction challenges; and can define and demonstrate solutions. You are probably already an Autodesk customer, but you're also a trainer and an evangelist amongst your peers, and you are comfortable presenting in front of two or two hundred. Your industry background will bring credibility, and your enthusiasm for technology is compelling.

You will report to the Territory Technical Sales Manager in Denver, CO (hybrid).
Responsibilities
Facilitate discovery workshops of varying sizes with our customers to help uncover business issues and drivers to use this information to connect Autodesk solutions to business outcome value
Perform in-depth assessments of customer processes to investigate, uncover and understand customer's business issues and desired outcomes
Utilize knowledge of business trends, technology, and industry to identify areas of opportunity for customer process improvement
Use Autodesk software, applications, and services together with other resources to define innovative solutions to customer's business
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of experience in the Architecture industry
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related industry
Understand the Design and Construction industries and knowledge of future trends
Experience with project workflows from design, estimation, and construction administration
Understand BIM for Construction and how to express corresponding benefits
Proficient in Revit
The Ideal Candidate
Professional registration (P.E., AIA, etc.) and industry accreditation (LEED AP, AGC, CSI, etc.)
Knowledge of Autodesk BIM Collaboration or Autodesk Build
Comfortable presenting in front of large audiences
Must have credibility and respect at the executive level and be able to connect technically at the user level
Requirements gathering and discovery proficiency
Sales methodology or technical sales experience
Experience with competitive software within the industry
