Job Description

As a Technical Training Manager, you will lead the training strategy for internal teams and external OEM partners. You will design and implement engaging technical training programs, assess training needs, develop multimedia content, manage the training lifecycle, build certification pathways, collaborate with product and engineering teams, partner with OEMs, track training effectiveness using KPIs, and lead a team of trainers. You will also need to stay ahead of trends in learning tech and the consumer electronics space.
Must have:
  • 5+ years in technical training, ideally in consumer electronics.
  • 2+ years of experience managing learning or training teams.
  • Excellent instructional design skills and LMS expertise.
  • Experience collaborating with OEMs and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills for simplifying technical content.
  • Project management strengths and passion for continuous learning.
Good to have:
  • Background in adult learning theory and instructional certification.
  • Familiarity with consumer electronics hardware/software integration.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing or repair processes.
  • Experience using immersive training tools.

About the Role

As Technical Training Manager, you’ll lead our training strategy across internal teams and external OEM partners. You’ll craft innovative, scalable learning experiences that drive performance and enable success across every part of the consumer electronics lifecycle—from repair to recycling.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement engaging technical training programs for internal teams and partners

  • Assess training needs across technical, operational, and customer support functions

  • Develop multimedia content: instructor-led sessions, e-learning, hands-on labs, and simulations

  • Manage training lifecycle: needs analysis, delivery, feedback, and continuous improvement

  • Build certification pathways to validate skills and drive progression

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to simplify complex technical content

  • Partner with OEMs to align training to evolving product technologies

  • Track training effectiveness using clear KPIs and learning metrics

  • Lead and inspire a team of trainers and instructional designers

  • Stay ahead of trends in learning tech, instructional design, and the consumer electronics space

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years in technical training, ideally in consumer electronics, telecoms, or tech

  • 2+ years of experience managing learning or training teams

  • Excellent instructional design skills and LMS expertise

  • Experience collaborating with OEMs and cross-functional stakeholders

  • Strong communicator who can simplify technical content for diverse audiences

  • Project management strengths and a passion for continuous learning

Desirable Extras

  • Background in adult learning theory, instructional certification (CPTM, ATD, etc.)

  • Familiarity with consumer electronics hardware/software integration

  • Knowledge of manufacturing or repair processes

  • Experience using immersive training tools (AR/VR, simulations)
