Job Summary

The Vertical Sales Executive will be responsible for designing, building, and executing a business development strategy to acquire new customers and drive growth for Motorola's Video Security & access control solutions within assigned end-user verticals in Western Canada. This role involves leading prospecting initiatives, understanding vertical-specific security challenges, curating innovative solutions, conducting meetings and presentations, crafting proposals, attending events, building relationships with stakeholders, and collaborating with internal teams to meet revenue targets.

Must Have

  • Design, build and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to acquire new customers and drive growth within assigned verticals.
  • Lead and support prospecting initiatives across the territory.
  • Generate new opportunities for Motorola’s portfolio within assigned verticals.
  • Gain a deep understanding of vertical-specific security challenges.
  • Curate innovative solutions from across the Motorola product portfolio.
  • Schedule and lead regular in person and virtual meetings, such as site-walks, demos and presentations.
  • Craft designs, quotes and deliver tailored proposals to customers.
  • Find, attend and host relevant events such as trade shows, roadshows and conferences.
  • Build deep relationships with key vertical stakeholders and end user accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams across the entire organization to support opportunities, customers and drive revenue in the region.
  • Deliver accurate revenue and opportunity forecasts as needed by the business and meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM and Google Suite to build and track detailed account and opportunity information.
  • Strong sales acumen and ability to penetrate new markets.
  • Ability to accurately forecast and exceed revenue targets.
  • Proven record of achievement in delivering results and developing collaborative relationships.
  • Strong time management skills and efficiency are required.
  • Ability to manage several priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel up throughout North America, as needed.
  • Must be located in major metropolitan area within territory.
  • 3+ years experience in Sales, Security Solutions, IT, or SaaS.

Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Vertical Sales Executive is an experienced business development professional, who is highly motivated to find new opportunities for Motorola’s Video Security & access control solutions within assigned end user verticals.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design, build and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to acquire new customers and drive growth within assigned verticals
  • Lead and support prospecting initiatives across the territory
  • Generate new opportunities for Motorola’s portfolio within assigned verticals
  • Gain a deep understanding of vertical-specific security challenges, and curate innovative solutions from across the Motorola product portfolio
  • Schedule and lead regular in person and virtual meetings, such as site-walks, demos and presentations
  • Craft designs, quotes and deliver tailored proposals to customers
  • Find, attend and host relevant events such as trade shows, roadshows and conferences as approved by manager
  • Build deep relationships with key vertical stakeholders and end user accounts
  • Work collaboratively with other teams across the entire organization to support opportunities, customers and drive revenue in the region
  • Deliver accurate revenue and opportunity forecasts as needed by the business and meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM and Google Suite to build and track detailed account and opportunity information

Qualifications:

  • Strong sales acumen and ability to penetrate new markets
  • Ability to accurately forecast and exceed revenue targets
  • Proven record of achievement in delivering results and developing collaborative relationships
  • Strong time management skills and efficiency are required, and candidates must have the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to travel up throughout North America, as needed
  • Must be located in major metropolitan area within territory

Territory:

The Vertical Sales Executive – Canada West will be responsible for supporting verticals across BC, BC, SK, NT & YT

Frequent travel (approximately 60% by air and car) will be required during the execution of the duties of the role

Target Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 CAD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
