Job Description

The Associate Configuration QA specialists have a very good understanding of benefits and how these are tested, being able to perform end-to-end manual testing on Darwin builds, alongside the end user experience. They are expected to be able to scope and test basic to medium complexity Darwin functionalities, based on client requirements. They will develop and execute test cases, raise and validate defect fixes, and collaborate with the project team. The role requires strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and a focus on quality assurance.
Must have:
  • High analytical skills: ability to collect and analyze information
  • Technical skills: ability to perform tasks that require the use of certain tools
  • Basic knowledge of the software testing process
  • MS Excel skills (Medium)
  • Fluent in English (B2 - C1)

THE ROLE AND YOUR MISSION

We will count on you to:

Adhere to the QA methodology and internal working procedures to ensure the quality of the delivered product:

• Determine the scope of testing - in order to achieve a complete understanding of the testing criteria, seek information and explanations from appropriate sources and documentation.

• Develop and execute test cases/scenarios, based on internal ways of working and tools.

• Understand the defect (bug) management lifecycle process: raise defects in a non-confrontational and clear manner, validate defect fixes and make sure the client requirements are met. Learn and apply the Delivery QA processes used in process of delivery alongside with our internal tools:

• Gain a thorough understanding of all Darwin™ areas relevant to testing the end-to-end Darwin™ configuration, as well as the end user experience.

• Use Jira as internal Darwin™ tool for project tracking.

• Gain a good understanding of the delivery methodology and demonstrate you follow it, by adopting the best practices according to your role.

• Ensure the project quality gates have been followed throughout the testing phase.

Manage your activity:

• Collaborate closely with the project team and the squad lead: provide status on your work, proactively flag delays on your work in case of objective reasons (i.e. re-work is needed, major defects found that affect the functionality).

• Actively be involved in the team meeting discussions.

• Demonstrate responsibility for your own development and career progression.

Build relationships & work towards developing yourself:

• Build relationships and establish an effective communication path with the stakeholders you interact with.

• Constantly seek ways of self-improving, with support when necessary, and prove responsibility for your own development (keep objectives tracker up to date).

• Seek out opportunities for developing new skills by reaching to senior members of the team to provide advice on how these can be achieved.

• Be willing to accept and offer constructive feedback.

What you need to have:

• High analytical skills: ability to collect and analyze information, problem-solve, and make decisions

• Technical skills: ability to perform tasks that require the use of certain tools, and the technology

required to master their intended uses in a variety of scenarios

• Basic knowledge of the software testing process (quality assurance methods & methodologies, defect management process)

• Numerical reasoning & mathematical skills

• Logical thinking & problem-solving skills

• Good communication skills - both verbal and written

• MS Excel skills (Medium)

• Fluent in English (B2 - C1)

YOUR EXPERIENCE & VALUES

• Minimum 1 year experience in software testing

• Proven track record, at least 1 year (quality assurance/quality control/reporting/data analysis/ EU projects / IT support or similar)

• Previous experience with test management tools (Eg JIRA) is mandatory

• ISTQB Foundation Certification or QA accredited courses are a plus, but not mandatory

• Be able to adopt the "break things" or "prove it doesn't work" mind-set

• Be a good team player by displaying consistent teamwork abilities while also showing strong work ethics.
