This role is for a Claims Operations Specialist within Marsh and McLennan Companies (MMC)'s regional operational shared service center in Kuala Lumpur. The specialist will be responsible for the registration and processing of general insurance claims, ensuring valid settlements, and diligently following up on unsettled claims. Key tasks include interacting with stakeholders, preparing claims statistic reports, communicating with service providers, processing payments, and handling reinsurance claims. The role offers interaction with diverse colleagues and stakeholders from various MMC lines of business.

  • Experience supporting shared service operation
  • Experienced in Insurance industry, Claims Management/ Claims Examiner
  • Experience in handling Reinsurance claims
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to systematically manage and retrieve data
  • Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented to comprehend and summarize appropriate information
Must Have:
  • Possess basic General Insurance knowledge
  • Ability to understand, speak, read and write English
  • Ability to understand, read and write Traditional/Simplified Chinese

We will count on you to:

  • Registration and Processing of claims (General Insurance) within turnaround time.
  • Ensure computed claims settlement and verified reimbursements from insurers are valid.
  • Diligently monitor and follow-up on unsettled claims with insurers and/or outstanding information from clients.
  • Interact with stakeholders to ensure proper execution of tasks.
  • Prepare claims statistic report on a monthly basis include, updating the documentation processes.
  • Communicate with service provider via phone and email to help gather missing details and support documentation.
  • Process payments, as needed
  • Process Reinsurance Claims, follow-ups with payment and other Reinsurance tasks
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed

What you need to have:

  • A Degree holder preferably in any fields
  • Possess basic General Insurance knowledge
  • Ability to understand, speak, read and write English is required
  • Ability to understand, read and write Traditional/Simplified Chinese is required
