Job Description

The Email Production Coordinator will be a key player in executing email campaigns aligned with Medscape’s marketing strategies. This role involves using an internal HTML editing tool, collaborating with teams to verify requirements, constructing, quality assuring (QA), and launching campaigns, and post-deployment monitoring. The ideal candidate will develop solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of Medscape’s email operations. Requires knowledge of HTML and CSS, and an understanding of ExactTarget, including Ampscript and SQL. This role requires good time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Good To Have:
  • Knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop.
  • Experience with A/B testing for email.
  • Experience with AMPscript (SalesForce).
Must Have:
  • Create HTML emails and QA test proofs.
  • Troubleshoot HTML rendering issues.
  • Complete and QA campaign setups.
  • Traffic email campaign requests to meet deadlines.
  • Implement list segmentation strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of HTML coding experience.

Job Summary and Responsibility
The Email Production Coordinator will play a key role in facilitating the execution of email campaigns that align with Medscape’s editorial marketing strategies. This position involves using an internal HTML editing tool to generate emails, collaborating with the Sales Planning and Editorial teams to verify intake requirements, constructing, quality assuring (QA), and launching campaigns, as well as conducting post-deployment monitoring as necessary.
The ideal candidate will develop solutions aimed at enhancing the quality and efficiency of Medscape’s MDEdge email operations. A foundational knowledge of HTML and CSS is required, along with a comprehensive understanding of ExactTarget, including Ampscript, SQL, Automations, and other related functionalities.

Responsibilities include:
● Create (manually code) HTML emails , QA email test proofs, set audience targeting, deploy campaigns

● Troubleshoot HTML rendering issues and make suggestions for coding improvements to enhance rendering across a wide range of popular email clients (Gmail, Outlook,
Hotmail, Yahoo!, etc.)
● Complete and QA campaign setups and edits in rapid succession without errors
● Traffic email campaign requests and campaign assets to meet deadlines and notify appropriate persons for reviews and approvals
● Implement list segmentation strategies for targeted email campaigns
Qualification
● Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience with email development
● HTML coding experience for email – minimum 2 years’ experience
● VKnowledge and experience using a major third party Email Service Provider (e.g.,
Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget), Adobe Campaign, etc)
● Strong knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop is a plus
● Experience with A/B testing for email
● Excellent time-management skills, organization and project management skills, and
attention to detail
● Ability to think creatively about marketing testing techniques and options
● Ability to quickly identify and address operational and process issues
● AMPscript (SalesForce) Experience optional
○ SQL experience optional
