In this role, you will use your experience and market knowledge to manage Destiny 2's live service game economy, craft systems that drive long-term engagement, and achieve business goals. You will have deep empathy for the player because you are a player yourself. You’ll work collaboratively across teams, identifying dependencies and ensuring a cohesive player experience. You will report to the Associate Director of Product Management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define goals, strategy, and requirements for Destiny 2’s in-game economy, rewards, and progression systems
  • Collaborate with Design and Engineering to develop executions which achieve those goals
  • Model and assess impact to player and business performance, deploying learnings to continuously tune and improve the game economy and rewards
  • Collaboratively iterate on and develop monetization systems that work in conjunction with economy and rewards systems
  • Ensure that monetization and retention designs align with Bungie’s and Destiny’s values
  • Apply insights from competitive research to improve Destiny 2 systems

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Experience working on in-game economies or progression systems for live service games
  • Social intelligence, great interpersonal skills, and empathy for creative teams
  • Proven business acumen with strategic and analytical capabilities, using data to inform decisions
  • Ability to model out in-game economies using multiple currencies, progression systems, and sinks and sources
  • Deep passion for games and ability to evaluate and break down the components of what makes a successful live game
Listed below is this role's base pay range. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly). 

This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Bellevue Pay Range

$148,000 - $176,000 USD
