Rockstar Games is seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide Development Support to their AI / Gameplay team in Leeds, England. This full-time, in-office position involves directly contributing to bringing the game to life by helping progress AI/Gameplay systems, behaviors, and mechanics to the highest standard. The role requires close collaboration with development teams across multiple studios, assisting with production tasks, playtesting new features, and maintaining automated tests.
Must have:
  • Work closely with the AI / Gameplay development team as a whole, including coordinating with developers at other Rockstar studios.
  • Assist with production tasks including prioritizing tasks, working through bug lists and reproducing/verifying bugs.
  • Play test and provide feedback on new features.
  • Perform manual testing and help maintain automated tests to prevent regressions.
  • Edit metadata that helps define our AI behaviours and Gameplay mechanics.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Game Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A portfolio of relevant work/projects.
  • A solid and in depth of understanding of how AI and gameplay mechanics work in games.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Organization and attention to detail.
Good to have:
  • A passion for playing and creating groundbreaking video game experiences.
  • In-depth familiarity with Rockstar products.
  • A technical (programming, maths, computer science) background.

Rockstar Games is searching for an enthusiastic individual to provide Development Support to our AI / Gameplay team. As part of the team, you will be directly involved in bringing our game to life. In addition to this, you’ll be responsible for helping the team progress all the AI / Gameplay systems, behaviours and mechanics to the highest standard.

This is a full-time, permanent and in-office position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of Leeds, England.

WHAT WE DO

  • We create and maintain core gameplay systems and a complex open-world simulation.
  • We develop systems to populate and simulate large worlds efficiently.
  • We work as a distributed team across multiple studios and collaborate closely with the Design, Art, and Engine departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Organization and attention to detail.
