Field Applications Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Support: Serve as the primary technical contact for focus accounts in North China, troubleshooting circuit-level issues and guiding customers through design challenges.
• Solution Development: Create customized reference designs, evaluation boards, and application reports to demonstrate optimal use of our power-semiconductor products.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and R&D teams to align customer requirements with product roadmaps and development priorities.
• Distributor Enablement: Mentor and train distributor FAEs on new product features, design best practices, and debugging techniques; deliver quarterly workshops.
• Market Insight: Collect and analyze customer feedback, application trends, and competitive activity; feed insights back to Product Management and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in switch-mode power supply or power-semiconductor application support.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency with topologies such as flyback, buck, boost, PFC, and LLC; familiarity with magnetic-component design (transformers, inductors) is a plus.
• Communication: Fluent in Mandarin and English, with excellent presentation and documentation skills.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong customer orientation, ability to build trust quickly, and work effectively in a matrixed, international environment.
• Self-Starter: Proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under tight timelines.
