The ideal candidate will have a background in auditing, with a focus on policy and governance. The role will be responsible for maintaining the company’s governance framework, ensuring a rigorous balance between regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal governance framework. There will be a need to ensure a rigorous balance between regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. This includes developing and implementing HR policies, conducting regular audits, and ensuring that all HR practices meet industry standards.
Key responsibilities
Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures to enhance governance and operational efficiency.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes by identifying areas for optimization and driving policy updates.
Identify areas of risk and provide recommendations for improvement to mitigate potential issues.
Coordinate the internal audits for the Human Resources department to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure audit findings are addressed and corrective actions are implemented.
Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
Assist with any ad-hoc tasks assigned.
About you
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
Between 3 to 5 years of experience in auditing, or in the risk / compliance / governance space, preferably within the Human Resources domain.
Strong understanding of policy development, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to constructively question the status quo and propose constructive and creative ideas to address observed gaps.
Ability to thrive on challenges in a very fast-paced environment, where quality and speed are of the essence.
