Job Description

The role involves constructing and assembling magnetic components such as inductors, transformers, and coils according to design specifications. Key responsibilities include winding magnetic coils with precision, testing and inspecting components for quality, and collaborating with engineers for design refinement. The position also requires documenting processes and materials. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for assembling and soldering components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs), performing visual inspections and testing of PCBAs, and troubleshooting/repairing defective units. Description

Key Responsibilities 
  • Construct and assemble magnetic components, including inductors, transformers, and coils, according to design specifications and engineering drawings. 
  • Wind magnetic coils using appropriate techniques and equipment, ensuring precision and adherence to specified parameters. 
  • Test and inspect magnetic components for functionality and quality, adjusting as needed to meet performance standards. 
  • Work closely with engineers to prototype and refine magnetic component designs. 
  • Document construction processes, materials used, and test results for each magnetic component. 
  • Assemble and solder components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. 
  • Perform visual inspection and testing of PCBAs to ensure quality and functionality. 
  • Troubleshoot and repair defective PCBAs, identifying and resolving issues with components, solder joints, and circuits. 
  • Collaborate with engineers to implement design changes and updates on PCBAs. 
Qualifications 
  • Technical Certification or associate degree in Electronics, Electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred. 
  • Experience in constructing and testing magnetic components, including winding coils and assembling transformers. 
  • 5 years of proven experience in PCBA assembly, testing, and troubleshooting. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision. 
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
