Job Summary
As a Lighting Artist at Scanline VFX, you'll be responsible for the lighting and rendering of high-end photorealistic live-action CG characters and environments. You'll create and design lighting for complex scenes, collaborating with other departments (Layout, Animation, FX) and ensuring elements work together to achieve the desired look. This involves working closely with Lighting Leads and Compositors. Responsibilities include understanding color space, image-based lighting, shading, scene setup, and advanced rendering methodologies. You'll need proficiency in 3ds Max and VRay or Houdini (Maya/VRay, Arnold, or other software considered). The role requires multitasking and meeting tight deadlines in a collaborative team environment.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Create and design lighting for complex scenes; built from various upstream departments such as Layout, Animation and FX.
- Work together with Lighting Leads and Compositors to ensure that all elements delivered work as needed to achieve the desired look
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a field of Digital Arts or equivalent experience
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in visual effects
- Proficiency with 3ds Max and VRay or Houdini preferred, experience with Maya/ VRay, Arnold, or other software considered
- Clear understanding of color space, image-based lighting, shading, scene set up and advanced rendering methodologies
- Able to multitask and complete tasks within production schedules and tight deadlines in an organized manner
- A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and responds well to direction and guidance from leads and supervisors
