Job Description

As the Local Sales Manager at WRTV in Indianapolis, you'll lead a talented team in delivering multi-platform advertising strategies that help our clients connect with their customers across broadcast television, OTT video, search, social media, digital display, and more. You will organize, direct, and manage a team of local sales Account Executives, collaborate with the Director of Sales, negotiate ratings, rates, and budgets, and develop new business across all station platforms. You will also coach, train, and motivate the sales team to achieve revenue goals and foster career growth.

Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field (preferred).
  • 7+ years proven success in media sales.
  • Experience in agency and direct strategic account management.
  • Experience in broadcast inventory and digital/video capabilities.
  • Valid Driver's License, good driving record, and proof of insurance.

  • Maintain positive relationships with outside vendors
  • Interface with traffic systems to ensure efficient management of airtime inventory
  • Oversee accounts receivable and credit policies
  • Develop pricing and packaging strategies that meet both client and station needs
  • Position the station effectively against competing advertising options
  • Forecast sales revenue and manage department expenses to achieve financial goals

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or equivalent experience preferred
  • Generally, 7+ years proven success in media sales
  • Experience in agency and direct strategic account management, broadcast inventory and digital/video capabilities
  • Driving required. Valid Driver's License, good driving record, and ability to provide proof of insurance with the company required insurance limits
