About the role

As Localization QA Game Tester, you will work within our Localization Quality Assurance team and be the very first person to see the localized game in its entirety – translated text, images and the rest of the user interface collectively. You’ll get to experience the project in the way it will be consumed by the end users. You will work in a multilingual project team ensuring that the game is free from grammatical errors, cultural inconsistencies and ultimately ensuring that the game is accurately localized into the target language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a global project team.
  • Identify and correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and other language errors.
  • Ensure adherence to console manufacturer guidelines.
  • Log details of errors and issues, providing improvement suggestions.
  • Ensure accurate translation within context and maintain consistency in terminology and imagery.
  • Identify missing or incorrect content and ensure proper display/format of dates, calendars, and characters.
  • Write reports on errors and bugs found and perform ad hoc translation.
  • Oversee the quality of your work, collaborate with the team, and contribute to the overall success of projects.

Our Localization QA team conducts language checks on upcoming games across a variety of cutting-edge platforms, including PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation VR2, and various mobile and tablet devices. As an LQA Game Tester, you will be working on top gaming titles for some of the world’s leading publishers.

Requirements

  • No experience required. Just fluency in Latin American Spanish and conversational in English.
  • Strong cultural understanding of the language you are applying for.
  • Computer literacy – particularly with Excel.
  • Robust Internet research skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with using different software, applications, and websites.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and collaborate within project teams.
  • Candidate must be located within Europe.

What we offer:

  • You will be working for the pre-eminent global provider of specialist services to the games industry and provided with full training and the opportunity to work on some of the biggest game clients, titles, projects, and tech in the world.
  • Attractive remuneration, holidays, regular team competitions with great prizes; and inclusion into an extensive social calendar. Our environments thrive with collaborative teamwork with people from all around the world, different nationalities, and languages.
  • A supportive community inclusive of LGBTQ+, and any age, ethnicity, religion, or disability. We care about the well-being of our employees and have a dedicated employee well-being program. We empower our people and offer regular progression opportunities to ensure our employees flourish.
  • Learn as you work and be part of something real that changes the face of gaming - forever.
  • Working with a global multi-lingual workforce with superb training and promotion and progression opportunities.

Working Condition:

  • Fully remote within Europe. If you're based in Braga, Portugal, even better!
  • With the possibility of transitioning to a full-time role. However, if you prefer to remain a freelancer, that's perfectly fine!

We are regularly recruiting the following languages: Arabic, Burmese, Bulgarian, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese (Traditional), Chinese (Simplified), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English (Australian), English (UK), English (US), Finnish, French (EU), French (Canadian), German, Greek, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Luxembourgish, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (EU), Portuguese (Brazilian), Romanian, Spanish (LatAm), Spanish (EU), Russian, Swedish, Tagalog, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian and Vietnamese for current and future ad-hoc Quality Assurance, Localization, Localization, QA, and Player Support global Operations.
