TransPerfect Games is seeking experienced English into French gaming translators and proofreaders for localization projects, ranging from indie to AAA titles. Candidates must have native-level French, strong English, a deep passion for gaming, and at least 2 years of gaming localization experience. Expertise in Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy games, along with CAT tool proficiency (preferably memoQ), is essential. The role requires detail-orientation, excellent linguistic skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Must Have:
- Native-level proficiency in French
- Strong command of English
- Deep passion for gaming and familiarity with gaming terminology
- Minimum 2 years of experience in gaming localization (English>French)
- Expertise in Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy games
- Skilled in CAT tools (preferably in memoQ)
- Detail-oriented with excellent grammar, spelling, and terminology skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced, creative environment
- Must have the right to work in Tokyo
- Required to work onsite during core business hours (Mon – Fri, 8 hours per day) at our office in Tokyo
- Must be based in the Tokyo area or within commuting distance to the office
- Meet one of the following minimum requirements: Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies; 2+ years of translation experience + college degree; 5+ years of translation experience; or a translation certification

- 📌As a mandatory requirement, you must have the right to work in Tokyo. You will be required to provide supporting documentation.
- 📌This is an onsite position. You are required to work onsite during core business hours (Mon – Fri, 8 hours per day) at our office in Tokyo. So you shall be based in the Tokyo area or you are within commuting distance to our office.
