Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As a Corporate Finance Associate (Bilingual FR/EN), you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- You will play an essential role as part of a team working on a particular transaction (sale, merger and acquisition (M&A) and financing) Supporting the team in the preparation and presentation of marketing pitches to existing and potential clients
- Conducting thorough research on companies and industries
- Obtaining needed information from available client data and conducting appropriate financial analysis
- Assisting in the preparation of internal and external marketing materials (teaser, confidential information memorandum (CIM), management presentation, etc.)
- Preparing financial models to support analysis in proposals and transaction documentation
- Identifying key strategic & financial buyers/investors
- Managing the transaction’s status reports
- Coordinating a transaction’s due diligence process all the way to close
- And more
- The candidate will be required to work extended hours
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
- The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada
- Relevant work experience– accounting firm, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or commercial banking would be an asset
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Economics, Corporate Finance and/or Commerce
- Completion or progression toward an accounting or finance designation (CPA, CBV, CFA, MSc or MBA) would be an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in Capital IQ as an asset
- Comprehensive financial and accounting skills and understanding of financial modelling and valuation methodologies A keen interest in M&A including but not limited to a basic knowledge of the standard M&A process and an understanding of key local investors
- Eager to participate in business development opportunities and initiatives
- This role doesn’t support completion of the Canadian CPA designation
- This position is required to be on-site. Additional information can be discussed with your interviewer
