Job Description

As a Receptionist at PwC Canada's Québec City office, you will be a key part of the Office Services team, managing the office experience and supporting internal infrastructure. Your role involves professionally greeting and directing clients and visitors, coordinating with Facilities and AV teams, and providing direct client services. You will also handle correspondence and ensure smooth office operations, contributing to a seamless and professional environment for all.
Must Have:
  • Professionally greet and direct clients and visitors
  • Manage visitor registration using the visitor management tool
  • Assist visitors with information requests
  • Coordinate with Facilities and AV teams for smooth meetings
  • Provide direct client services adhering to quality standards
  • Escalate client problems/issues promptly
  • Manage incoming and outgoing messages
  • Draft standard and non-standard correspondence
  • Work 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with flexibility for early/late shifts and overtime
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Maintain discretion with confidential information
  • Exhibit attention to detail and work with limited supervision

Job Description & Summary

A career in Infrastructure and Property, within Business Enablement, will provide you with the opportunity to be a part of developing and managing the operational infrastructure that allows us to support our people and our clients. We focus on all aspects of internal infrastructure services from real estate site selection, facilities management, and physical security to managing relationships with Firm travel partners and event planning.

Our Office Services team is responsible for managing the wellbeing of our office experience as well as responding to office requests from partners and staff to help keep the office running smoothly. You will represent the firm, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for all visitors.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of

As part of the role, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting and directing clients and visitors professionally in our head office and ensuring visitors are captured in our visitor management tool
  • Assisting site visitors with any information requests
  • Ongoing coordination with our Facilities and AV team members ensuring meetings run smoothly
  • Providing services directly to clients according to predetermined requirements and quality standards
  • Being sensitive to the pressures clients may be under and escalating problems/issues promptly as required
  • Picking up and distributing messages left in the overnight mailbox
  • Drafting standard and non-standard correspondence
  • Office hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The candidate may be asked to cover early morning (7:30 am) and/or late evening (6:00 pm) shifts when needed
  • Being flexible to work overtime when requested, sometimes at short notice

  • Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint for document management and sharing
  • The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with the firm
