The site is responsible for the engineering of satellite systems, the design and production of payloads, as well as the development and qualification of ground segments; it integrates a research center and an industrial accelerator for start-ups and ventures.
The evolution of the satellite telecommunications market leads Thales Alenia Space to offer increasingly flexible (frequency allocation and/or waveforms and/or geographical coverage) and in-flight reprogrammable payloads (Software Defined Radio, including software and bitstream reprogramming of FPGAs).
In this context, we are looking for digital Telecom payload engineers (HW and SW knowledge) to join the Payload engineering teams.
Within a Payload & System team of about 20 people, set to grow, the challenges will focus on strengthening the technical payload solution in very close collaboration with all stakeholders and setting the major requirements to initiate appropriate development and derisking activities at all levels.

Are you a Telecom Engineer or PhD student, passionate about radio frequency and curious to take on technical and human challenges?
Do you have skills in signal processing, a good command of Python, Matlab or C++, and an ability to model electronic systems (ADS type)?
Experience in payload design, TCR or transmission would be an asset!
Do you speak technical English and are you ready to collaborate with multi-disciplinary and multicultural teams, on innovative and varied projects?
Do you wish to contribute to co-engineering work, in liaison with clients and suppliers, and participate in off-site test phases, particularly outside?
