Marvell's Custom Cloud Solutions Business Unit (CCS) develops cutting-edge semiconductor solutions. This internship offers a chance to work on various aspects of chip design, focusing on physical design and methodology for next-generation, high-performance processor and data center chips in advanced CMOS process technology. Interns will collaborate with experienced engineers, contributing to successful design tapeouts.
Good To Have:
  • Master's degree (preferred) in EE/CS or related technical field(s)
Must Have:
  • Currently pursuing a BS/MS degree in EE/CS or related technical field(s)
  • 0-1 years of previous experience
  • Knowledge of Static Timing Analysis (STA) through coursework
  • Thorough understanding of Linux/Unix
  • Experience working on Multi-threaded systems
  • Excellent programming skills in scripting languages (e.g., TCL, Python) in a Unix type environment
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Excellent English communication skill in verbal and written
  • Able to work effectively with global team and be self-motivated to solve problems and manage deliverables.

Marvell’s Custom Cloud Solutions Business Unit (CCS) develops cutting-edge semiconductor solutions in the most advanced technologies. Our focus is on solving the most difficult design problems in the areas of AI, data movement, memory/storage, switch, networking, security, and other infrastructure applications. The Marvell Physical Design team is located in our Santa Clara, CA office, and has a long history of successful design tapeouts in advanced process nodes. Our team is made up of both newer and more experienced engineers with a broad depth of physical design engineering experience.

Being a part of our team will give you a chance to work on many different aspects of the chip design process, while working alongside some of the best engineers in the industry. In this unique role, you’ll have the opportunity to work on both the physical design and methodology for future designs of our next-generation, high-performance processor and data center chips in a leading-edge CMOS process technology.

What We're Looking For

  • Candidate MUST be currently pursuing a BS/MS (preferred) degree in EE/CS or related technical field(s)
  • 0-1 years of previous experience
  • Knowledge of Static Timing Analysis (STA) through coursework such as Computer Architecture, Digital Design, etc.
  • Excellent English communication skill in verbal and written
  • Able to work effectively with global team and be self-motivated to solve problems and manage deliverables.
  • Thorough understanding of Linux/Unix, with experience working on Multi-threaded systems.
  • Excellent programming Skills in scripting languages (e.g., TCL, Python) in a Unix type environment, with good problem-solving skills
