Job Description

Cadence is seeking an experienced Manager to lead Physical Design projects, responsible for identifying, defining, and driving flow, and aligning tool & resource requirements. This role requires deep knowledge of the complete physical design flow, driving RTL to GDS for microprocessor design, engaging with foundry and design partners, and managing a Global Solutions team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation and a proven track record in the semiconductor industry.

Must Have:
  • Lead Physical Design projects
  • Identify, define, and drive flow
  • Align tool & resource requirements
  • Deep knowledge of complete physical design flow
  • Drive RTL to GDS flow for microprocessor design
  • Engage with foundry & design partners in defining tool and methodology
  • Manage a Global Solutions team across US, India, and Europe
  • Perform detailed floor planning, power planning, and IO planning
  • Placement and Routing (P&R)
  • Clock Tree Synthesis (CTS)
  • Static Timing Analysis (STA) and timing closure
  • Physical verification (DRC/LVS)
  • Understanding of DFT
  • Expertise in high speed interconnect
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in Physical Design or related field
  • Multiple tape outs with high end Arm cores
  • Proven experience in leading and managing complex engineering projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
