Platform Engineer I

CSG International is hiring a Platform Engineer I to join our DPM Operations team. The DPM Operations team is accountable for the effective operation and support of solutions delivered by the DPM Product Development Teams. This accountability covers seven main areas:

• Assisting in supporting an AWS Cloud Infrastructure
• installing, patching, and upgrading DPM Products in our SaaS platform, oriented by experienced team members
• maintaining deployment and application infrastructure
• validating installation, configuration, release, and promotion processes and procedures
• supporting the DW Product Development Teams’ releases and promotions through to production
• monitoring the function and performance of DPM solutions
• automating and documenting Platform Engineer processes
• participating in the Platform Engineer on-call rotation schedule

You will work with a fun and exciting team and be on the absolute cutting edge of technology.

What you will be doing: 

• DPM Product installation and configuration.
• Assist Troubleshooting Platform errors.
• Troubleshoot and assisting on bugfixes for DPM Applications.
• Monitor DPM solutions’ function and performance; suggest and implement proactive remediation measures

• Assist with Automation and document Platform Engineer processes´s

• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation 
• Assist Collaborate with colleagues in architecture and development groups
• Install, configure and upgrade third party products and open-source solutions
• Understand and adhere to CSG Security and Compliance Standards.
• Bi-weekly off-hour maintenance activities performed within the required maintenance within the required maintenance window

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science  or related field 

• NATO SECRET (NS) security classification or willingness to undergo screening to attain NATO Secret security clearance
• Knowledge of database applications (Oracle) and Web Services (REST)
• Familiarity with version control, continuous integration and delivery tools (Git, Jenkins, Artifactory or related services like Azure DevOps, Salt, AWS CodeCommit/Build/Pipelines, BitBucket or GitLab)
• A desire to learn new things. Our team is on the cutting edge of technology and are more than happy to train you. 

• Other Valuable Skills: 

• Software development experience on Linux platforms in common scripting languages is highly desirable (NodeJS, Java, Python, bash,)

• Familiarity with AWS or equivalent public cloud experience  

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code
