Job Description

The Project Manager will plan, execute, monitor, control, and close projects to meet goals and requirements, accurately identifying and resolving issues. This role involves coordinating resources across multiple organizations, managing scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources, and risks. Responsibilities include developing project charters, obtaining stakeholder buy-in, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The manager will also oversee the development and implementation of Motorola Solutions products or services, track performance, and utilize Six Sigma and project management methodologies.

  • Manage development/implementation of Motorola Solutions products/services.
  • Coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams.
  • Track and evaluate project performance.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and quality metrics.
  • Participate in project review and status meetings, communicate status.
  • Utilize Six Sigma and project management methodologies.
  • Motivate project team for optimal performance.
  • Highly motivated, self-supervised, customer-focused individual.
  • Push all projects to completion using conflict resolution and communication.

Responsible for managing scope, quality, schedule, budget, resources and risks. Responsible for developing project charters and statements of work (SOW) and obtains project sponsor/stakeholder buy-in for project initiation. Visit locations for the purpose of end-of-job (EOJ) walk throughs / closing out jobs.Maintain excellent communication with Project Sponsor, Functional Team Members, and Direct Management to ensure early identification of issues and timely reporting of status.

Job Description

Manages the development and/or implementation of Motorola Solutions products or services. Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgraded existing products or services. Manages projects from inception to completion (or transition), including tracking and evaluation of project performance. Ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and within accepted quality metrics. Participates in project review and status meetings, and communicates project status. Utilizes six sigma and project management methodologies to ensure maximum project effectiveness. Motivates project team to ensure optimal performance. May assist in the development of business plans, strategies, and approaches to take advantage of business opportunities.

Basic Requirements

Required Skills: Highly motivated, self-supervised, customer focused individual with organizational and leadership skills to push all projects to completion, using conflict resolution, facilitation, solution-driven analysis, superior communication and project methodology. Understanding of telecom networks and related equipment a strong plus. Excellent Excel, Word, PPT, and other MS application skills a must. May deal with both internal and external contacts. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge in job-related functional area and of telecommunications technology. 1 to 5 years of experience.
