SOFTSWISS is seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive the successful delivery of complex projects. The role involves establishing robust management strategies, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include developing project management strategies, creating detailed plans with timelines and requirements, identifying and managing risks, coordinating legal, technical, and business teams, managing stakeholders, providing status reports, conducting agile ceremonies, managing changes, and mentoring team members. The aim is to foster collaboration, manage risks, adapt plans, and support team growth to directly impact business outcomes.
Must have:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Middle Project Manager in IT
  • Manage full software development lifecycle
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Adaptable to shifting priorities
  • Proficient in Jira and Confluence
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban
  • English and Russian proficiency (B2+)
Good to have:
  • Experience in Gambling/Betting industry

Purpose of the role:

You will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of complex projects by establishing robust management strategies, aligning cross-functional teams, and ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle. Your work will directly impact business outcomes by fostering collaboration, managing risks, and adapting plans to dynamic environments, while also supporting the growth and effectiveness of the project team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and Implementing Project Management Strategies: Defining methodologies, tools, and standards to ensure efficient project execution. 
  • Creating Detailed Project Plans: Developing plans that include tasks, timelines, milestones, dependencies, functional specifications, and technical requirements, followed by monitoring their execution. 
  • Risk Identification and Management: Conducting risk analysis, developing mitigation strategies, and response plans to ensure project success. 
  • Coordinating Cross-Functional Teams: Facilitating collaboration among legal, technical, and business teams, ensuring their efforts and goals are aligned. 
  • Effective Stakeholder Management: Identifying key stakeholders, regularly informing them of progress, managing expectations, and resolving conflicts. 
  • Ensuring Transparency and Accountability: Providing regular project status reports, analyzing performance metrics (e.g., velocity, productivity, sprint success rates), and offering insights for decision-making. 
  • Conducting Meetings and Agile Ceremonies: Organizing and leading kick-off meetings, demos, retrospectives, and strategic discussions with teams and stakeholders. 
  • Change Management and Plan Adaptation: Anticipating and responding to changes in the project, making adjustments to plans and strategies according to new requirements or conditions. 
  • Team Development and Mentorship: Supporting the professional growth of team members, teaching best practices in project management, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Required Experience:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Middle Project Manager in the IT industry, preferably across multiple organizations. 
  • Proven expertise in managing the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to delivery. 
  • Outstanding communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with a strong focus on empathy and conflict resolution. 
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, navigate uncertainty effectively, and maintain focus on delivering results. 
  • Proficiency in Jira (and plugins such as EazyBI, Plans, Big Picture) and Confluence.
  • Strong understanding of major principles and methodologies of project and delivery management (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.). 
  • English and Russian proficiency at an upper-intermediate (B2+) level or higher. 

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in the Gambling/Betting industry 
  • Previous work experience in product-focused companies
  • Knowledge of the technologies used by software development teams 
  • Professional certifications in project management or Agile methodologies
