• Supervises the activities of a specific competency area or specialty within a software department, ensuring that all initiatives align with organizational goals and objectives to drive departmental success.
• Takes responsibility for the results within the focus area, including managing costs, optimizing methods, and fostering staff development, to enhance performance and achieve desired outcomes effectively.
• Acts as a facilitator for the teams, ensuring the adoption, success, and continuous improvement of agile development and software practices, with the aim of creating a positive customer experience.
• Executes on the organization’s strategy by providing clearly defined success criteria and levels of accountability for individuals within the team, removing impediments, and acting as an escalation point for team progress.
• Understands customer needs to design and implement solutions that focus on delivering high value and satisfaction, thereby ensuring a strong customer-centric approach.
• Ensures delivery of high-quality software at a sustainable pace, maintaining advanced levels of software craftsmanship as established by the Software Center of Excellence.
• Ensures adherence to all applicable development processes, legal standards, quality metrics, security protocols, and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance and excellence.
• Contributes to the technical innovation of products and systems for which the teams are accountable, offering insights, hands-on technical reviews, and continuous constructive feedback.
• Stays current with relevant technology domains, continuously learning and introducing new technical practices and innovations to the team, while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify trends and opportunities.
• Guides and mentors the team, actively contributing to employee selection, performance management, compensation management, career development, and overseeing operational processes.
Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience with Bachelor's OR Minimum 1 years of experience with Master's in areas such as Software Development, Software Design and Architecture, Testing and Quality Assurance or equivalent.
