Electronic Arts is seeking an experienced Test expert for QVS in Shanghai. The role involves designing anti-cheat tests, researching vulnerabilities, and automating detection systems to protect player trust and revenue. Responsibilities include reproducing cheat behaviors, documenting impacts, validating fixes, providing feedback on features using data analysis, and identifying opportunities for early design feedback and defect prevention. The individual will partner with production and community teams to monitor cheat trends and recommend mitigation strategies, leverage defect trends and metrics to drive decisions, and champion Shift-Left testing initiatives by integrating automated tests into early development phases. The role also requires serving as the "voice of quality" in cross-functional discussions and advocating for quality best practices.
Must have:
  • 3+ years testing experience

Report to: QA Development Director
 
 We are looking for an experienced Test expert for QVS in Shanghai. You will have solid experience driving qualities with in-depth understanding of software design and implementation. You will identify quality issues and bugs as early as possible in the development cycle. You will become the voice of quality for the project. Also, we require test strategies and experience which challenge the software to provide a very high level of quality.
 
 Role Overview
 * You will design anti-cheat tests, research vulnerabilities, and automate detection systems to protect player trust and revenue.

*You will reproduce cheat behaviors, document impacts (logs, triggers, scope), and validate fixes
 * You will provide feedback on features with issues to improve in-game features by using solid data analysis to support the suggested changes 
 * You will identify opportunities for QA to provide early design feedback alongside defect prevention and defect containment activities

* You will  partner with production, and community teams to monitor cheat trends and recommend mitigation strategies.
 * You will leverage defect trends, test coverage metrics and automated quality dashboards to drive smart decisions about priorities and resource allocation 
 * You will champion Shift-Left testing initiatives by integrating automated tests and other best practices into early development phases, significantly reducing late-stage rework.
 * You will serve as the "voice of quality" in cross-functional discussions, advocating for quality best practices and promoting the adoption of efficient testing frameworks.
 
 Qualifications
 * 3+ years testing experience, with expertise in testing methodologies for mobile/PC/web platforms.

* Experience in game security related testing

* Experience in Python or other script programming is preferred. 
 * Proficiency in debugging tools and defect tracking system. 
 * Basic scripting knowledge or familiarity with test automation frameworks
 * Proficiency in English.(Written/Spoken)
 * Solid understanding of game development framework (Agile/Scrum) and QA’s role in development cycles
 * Experience with identifying risks and escalating to applicable partners.
