Job Description

As a (Senior) Director and “Head of Product Management Mosaic Network Controller”, you will lead an international team of product managers with excellent expertise in network management for DWDM, Packet and Timing. Your team's work results in the innovative evolution of the “Mosaic Network Controller” (MNC) in close alignment with development, sales, service, and representative customers worldwide. Principle duties and essential functions include developing differentiating features with customers, evolving the MNC, supporting Adtran’s corporate identity, maintaining a feature backlog for MNC, and controlling the MNC business to improve it.
Must have:
  • Experience in defining/developing network management systems.
  • Deep experience in the telecommunication sector.
  • Strong software affinity.
  • Excellent leadership skills to manage people.
  • Fluent English skills, both spoken and written.

As a (Senior) Director and “Head of Product Management Mosaic Network Controller”, you will lead an international team of product managers with excellent expertise in network management for DWDM, Packet and Timing. Your team's work results in the innovative evolution of the “Mosaic Network Controller” (MNC) in close alignment with development, sales, service, and representative customers worldwide.

Principle duties and essential functions

  • Develop differentiating features together with customers and partners supporting an efficient network operation with strong focus on automation
  • Evolve the MNC towards a best possible business support for the devices to be managed
  • Support Adtran’s corporate identity by contributing to a harmonized reception of all management interfaces (machine and human)
  • Maintain a feature backlog for MNC with an outlook on the next 12+ months which enables R&D to stably carry on with its development. Enrich this backlog by a strategic roadmaps
  • Control regularly the MNC business and take any needed action to improve it

Knowledge, skills and experience required

  • Many years of experience in defining/developing network management systems, in network operations and in competing industry products
  • Deep experience in the telecommunication sector with focus on DWDM, Packet and Timing
  • Strong software affinity
  • Excellent leadership skills to manage people, to moderate challenging discussions (internal and external) and to communicate technical solutions on any management level
  • Fluent English skills, both spoken and written, other European language skills appreciated
  • Worldwide travelling activity 1-5 days per month
