Job Description

The Senior Manager, Event Management will oversee all event responsibilities, from planning and preparation to execution and reporting. This includes managing staffing, product sampling, consumer engagement, asset transportation, POS coordination, and production. They will collaborate with various business units and serve as the client contact, manage direct reports, and ensure assets are available for activations. They will also manage local warehousing with POS and special event assets and ensure assets are available/operable for activations. They will socialize success and opportunities with program recaps, using data and insights for real-time measurement and evaluation, event strategies and project plans/ volume phasing. Additionally, the Senior Manager will manage cross-agency and in-market communications and serve as a local contact for clients and partners, approve and submit payroll and expenses for part-time and full-time employees, and process payments for invoices from vendor partners, prepare and follow local market budgets.
Must have:
  • 6 years minimum experience in event management
  • Budget management skills
  • Prior sampling event and production experience
  • Knowledge of wine and spirits industry
  • Experience sourcing candidates
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite

Role Purpose

Reporting into the Regional Director, the Senior Manager, Event Management is an event specialist and local market expert who oversees the pre to post event responsibilities, from planning and preparation to execution and reporting. Event elements will often include staffing, product sampling, consumer engagement, asset transportation, POS coordination, and production.

  • You'll work in close collaboration with cross business counterpoints and serve as client contact.
  • You'll manage direct reports, including ongoing recruitment, hiring and onboarding, and performance and financial management of part time and (if applicable) full-time employees.
  • You'll follow standard operating procedures, policies, and protocols for issue resolution.
  • You'll manage local warehousing with POS and special event assets, and ensure assets are available/operable for activations.
  • You'll socialize success and opportunities with program recaps, using data and insights for real-time measurement and evaluation, event strategies and project plans/ volume phasing.
  • You'll manage cross agency and in-market communications, and serve as a local contact for clients and partners.
  • You'll approve and submit payroll and expenses for part-time and full-time employees.
  • You'll process payments for invoices from vendor partners.
  • You'll prepare and follow local market budgets.

Person Specification

  • 6 years minimum experience in event management
  • Only candidates located in or near Orlando, FL will be considered.
  • Budget management skills
  • Prior sampling event and production experience
  • Knowledge of wine and spirits industry
  • Experience sourcing candidates to guarantee a match to the position/organization
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Suite
  • Comfortable with the possibility of some non-traditional working hours
  • Travel is required within the assigned territories (Alabama/Mississippi)

Additional Information

The annual salary range for this position is $68,000 - $110,400. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, and other factors permitted by law.
