Job Description

Larian Studios, known for Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin 2, is seeking a Senior Security Engineer. This role involves implementing security controls, investigating threats, and ensuring best practices across the company. The engineer will identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, deploy security tools, run monitoring, perform audits, and design security baselines to enhance Larian's security posture.

Scripting skills for security automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
Gaming industry experience

Must Have:

Identify, assess, and mitigate vulnerabilities in infrastructure components and applications
Deploy and operate security tools to detect and resolve issues across a wide range of systems
Run security monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and forensic log analysis to proactively detect incidents and threats
Perform technical security audits and produce actionable recommendations
Design and implement security baselines for operating systems
Ensure incident handling and reporting procedures are followed
Educate and train staff on IT security best practices
Investigate and utilize new technologies, tools, and techniques to enhance security capabilities
Maintain up-to-date security documentation and best practices
Participate in change management workflows to ensure secure implementation
Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in IT security roles
Hands-on experience with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
Proven ability to implement proper system security controls, metrics, and performance indicators
Solid knowledge of security frameworks and industry best practices
Experience with enterprise security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
Strong understanding of operating system security (Windows, Linux)
Excellent communication skills in English
This is a full-time, on-site role, requiring your presence in the office to support collaboration
