We want to build an agile learning culture that amplifies the skills of our incredible Wavers (our term for Wave employees) and nurtures a commitment to continuous growth—creating impact both today and for the future.

As a Talent Development Partner, you’ll play a pivotal role in achieving this goal. In partnership with the Director of Talent, you’ll design and implement a forward-thinking, adaptive learning strategy that equips Wavers with the skills they need to thrive now and in the years to come. Through this strategy, you’ll identify ways to enhance development across the organization, bridge skill gaps, and create learning opportunities that meet individuals where they are, embedding learning into our culture and driving performance across all levels.

Here’s How You Make an Impact:

    • Talent Development Strategy: You will work closely with the Director of Talent to analyze our current talent development landscape, envision a transformative future, and build a strategy and program to achieve this vision. Through a commitment to continuous talent development, you will focus on impactful and sustainable development that fosters an environment where our employees can thrive long-term.
    • Collaborative Needs Analysis: Partner with the People & Culture team to conduct ongoing needs analysis and support the rollout of new programs. Work with business leaders to identify emerging development needs that will drive performance and innovation.
    • Agile Program Development: Design and deliver comprehensive development programs that are adaptable, drive high performance and help us maintain our agility in an ever-evolving ecosystem.
    • Content Design and Delivery: Create engaging learning materials and utilize various methods such as learning in the flow of work, job aids, workshops, e-learning modules, webinars, and other approaches to cater to different learning styles and needs.
    • Innovate and Adapt our Development Programs: Continuously assess and improve development initiatives to ensure they remain relevant, engaging, and in step with industry best practices. This includes building a robust evaluation plan and analyzing the impacts of development programs on business, team and individual performance.
    • Manage External Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with third-party vendors, ensuring they align with Wave’s goals and complement our internal development capabilities.
    • Cultivate a Culture of Continuous Learning: Work collaboratively with all areas of the organization to embed continuous growth opportunities within the employee lifecycle. Implement policies for individual development budgeting, training, and conferences, empowering employees to pursue ongoing growth and learning.
    • Support Wave’s Transformation: Play a critical role in supporting the company’s culture and business transformation by designing programs that promote new cultural behaviours, skills, and mindsets. This includes implementing initiatives to help employees adapt to changes and embrace new processes.

You Thrive Here By Possessing the Following:

    • Passion for Driving Change: A strong enthusiasm for building new initiatives in a dynamic environment, where you’re ready to “fix the plane as it’s flying.” You’re energized by change, resilient in the face of ambiguity, and excited to create impactful learning solutions that evolve with the organization.
    • Strategic Relationship Building: Proven ability to cultivate and sustain partnerships within a dynamic organization experiencing significant change. You excel at navigating varying levels of resistance, adapting your approach to build trust, gain buy-in, and collaboratively move initiatives forward in alignment with evolving organizational goals.
    • Passion for Inclusive Learning: Enthusiasm for creating an inclusive environment that embraces diversity of thought and fosters a shared commitment to growth and continuous learning.
    • Deep Talent Development Experience: 5-7 years in talent development, with a proven record of designing and delivering impactful, scalable programs within a corporate setting.
    • Instructional Design and Facilitation Expertise: Skilled in instructional design with a strong understanding of adult learning principles, training methodologies, and facilitation techniques.
    • Analytical & Results-Oriented: Adept at assessing training needs, designing impactful programs, and measuring success to ensure ongoing improvement.
    • Experience with Digital Learning Platforms: Proficiency with LMS systems, e-learning tools, and digital platforms to deliver learning that is accessible, scalable, and adaptable.
    • Educational Background & Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications in learning and development or related fields are a plus.
