Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team in the Civil Aerospace Business Centre as a Service Business Officer. This role involves forecasting profitability for aftermarket service offerings like Total Care, Flex, and Select Care, and supporting Project and Customer teams in contract management. The purpose of the Civil Aerospace Business Centre is to drive business performance by providing focused, insightful information for better decision-making and value extraction. The officer will have an in-depth understanding of Rolls-Royce's Aftermarket business.
Must Have:
  • Forecasting TotalCare, Flex, SelectCare and FPOH business returns
  • Liaising with multiple different functions across the business for forecasting
  • Creating and monitoring engine overhaul / spare parts sale forecasts
  • Identifying opportunities to improve accuracy and efficiency of business forecasting
  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and project management skills
  • Effective problem solver, able to act decisively to implement optimal solutions
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • Possess business acumen, good judgement, and effective planning skills
  • Understanding of applicable health and safety standards

The purpose of the Civil Aerospace Business Centre is to help drive business performance by providing focused, insightful information that will allow Civil Aerospace to make better decisions and extract value in a cost-effective manner. The Business Centre takes pride in being an inspirational place to work with our own calendar of social events and team building activities. The Services Business team forecasts the profitability for all aftermarket service offerings such as Total Care, Flex and Select Care as well as supporting the Project and Customer teams in the management of their contracts.

What you will be doing:

In this role you will have regular interaction with all levels of Civil Aerospace Large Engine Programmes, Customer Regional Teams, the Services Organisation, the Finance Organisation and will have an in depth understanding of how Rolls- Royce manages the Aftermarket business. You will be:

  • Forecasting TotalCare, Flex, SelectCare and FPOH business returns, liaising with multiple different functions across the business to complete this activity
  • Creating and monitoring engine overhaul / spare parts sale forecasts to support both the Parts forecast and MRO load forecast.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the business forecasting process
  • Creating and monitoring engine overhaul forecasts and spare part sale

  • A sense of business acumen is required together with good judgement and effective planning skills, which will combine with the ability to cope with high levels of ambiguity
