As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with colleagues across Europe to develop robust, scalable solutions for trading and portfolio management. This role involves working directly with business stakeholders in a dynamic, innovative technology environment, offering a unique chance to make a substantial impact and advance your skills. Responsibilities include delivering complete software solutions using best practices, translating business requirements into software, understanding financial markets, collaborating with DataOps, DevOps, and infrastructure teams, participating in production support, and staying current with emerging technologies. Must have:
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong Python skills with production experience in API services and microservices.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including writing performant queries.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term fixes.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architectures or a strong desire to learn.
Good to have:
  • Experience with Big Data technologies (Hive, Apache Nifi, Apache Airflow).
  • Willingness to learn and support C#/.NET applications.
  • Curiosity and drive to investigate and solve problems.
  • Strong communication skills for effective team and stakeholder interaction.
  • Ability to work autonomously and seek assistance when needed.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers.
  • Motivation to learn and grow in the role.

As part of the Software Engineering team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across Europe to develop robust, scalable solutions for trading and portfolio management, working directly with business stakeholders and contributing to a dynamic, innovative technology environment. We will count on you to:

  • Deliver complete software solutions using best practices to ensure performance and reliability.
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into compatible software solutions.
  • Develop a strong understanding of financial markets to engage effectively with business partners.
  • Collaborate with DataOps, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure projects use the most appropriate technologies.
  • Participate in production support, including monitoring and managing applications, APIs, overnight batches, and data feeds.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and bring innovative ideas to the team.
  • Represent the firm’s engineering brand through industry engagement (meetups, conferences, blogging, open source).
  • Contribute to a culture of learning and knowledge sharing within the team.

What you need to have:

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience.
