As a Technical Program Manager at Google's Cloud Supply Chain Operations (CSCO) Data Science team, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. Responsibilities include executing processes and driving portfolio projects for the team, monitoring progress and risks, driving Agile development, collaborating with stakeholders, and authoring program charters. You'll consolidate information, manage schedules and dependencies, and translate engineering discussions into actionable tasks. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 2+ years of program management experience. Experience in data science and simulation modeling is preferred. The team's mission is to improve CSCO efficiency through machine learning, statistical and simulation modeling, and prescriptive insights, focusing on cost savings, reduced deployment time, and improved supply/demand predictability.
Must have:

  • Experience managing data science/simulation projects

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience translating engineering discussions into engineering tasks and next steps.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience serving as a program manager to ensure planning and development of data science and simulation models.
  • Experience running a portfolio of programs in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with task flow products.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to negotiate prioritization across organizations.

The mission of Cloud Supply Chain Operations (CSCO) Data Science team is to improve CSCO efficiency through applied machine learning, statistical and simulation modeling as well as prescriptive insights. Efficiency could come in the form of cost-savings, reduced deployment/maintenance time, and improved supply/demand predictability. The data science modeling and analytics work also focuses on projects that increase satisfaction of the users across CSCO, elevate measurement capabilities, and improve key business metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Execute processes and drive portfolio projects for Cloud Supply Chain Data, Data Science and Simulation (CSCD - DSS) team.
  • Monitor and communicate progress, risks, and mitigation for defined programs.
  • Drive Agile development within CSCD - DSS team.
  • Collaborate with program stakeholders, author program charter that addresses scope, timeline, OKRs, resourcing and risks/dependencies of a program.
  • Consolidate information into a central location including stakeholders, plans, prioritized objectives, estimated task duration, risks, schedules, and dependencies.
