Job Description

Sierra is seeking a University Recruiting Lead to develop and manage the entire university recruiting lifecycle, including campus strategy, events, sourcing, candidate experience, and reporting. This role involves traveling to campus events and conferences, partnering with hiring managers to define early career talent needs, and building relationships with universities and student organizations. The lead will also track and report on recruiting metrics. The ideal candidate will have 5-8+ years of recruiting experience in high-growth tech companies, with a proven track record in building and scaling university recruiting programs, ideally in startup environments. Strong understanding of the campus recruiting landscape and experience sourcing top tech interns and new graduates are essential.

What you’ll do

  • As our first University Recruiting Lead at Sierra, you will be responsible for developing and operating the full university recruiting lifecycle, including campus strategy, events, sourcing, candidate experience, and reporting.

  • Travel to campus events and conferences, with flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed.

  • Partner closely with Hiring Managers to define early career talent needs, develop campus strategies, and align on timelines and goals.

  • Build and execute sourcing and engagement strategies across universities, career fairs, and build strong relationships with universities and student organizations to increase Sierra’s visibility and access.

  • Track, analyze, and report on university recruiting metrics to Hiring Managers and Sierra leadership on a regular cadence.

What you’ll bring

  • 5-8+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience at a high-growth tech company, with early-stage start-up experience preferred

  • Proven experience building and scaling university or early career recruiting programs, ideally in high-growth environments.

  • Willingness and ability to travel during campus recruiting season.

  • Deep understanding of the campus recruiting landscape, including event strategy, brand awareness, program development, and partnership building.

  • Ability to source, attract, and hire top Tech interns and new grad talent. 

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience partnering with engineering, HR, and focusing on DEIB.

  • A data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze, track, and optimize pipeline performance and program impact.

  • Passion for creating an inclusive candidate experience and developing programs that foster long-term talent pipelines.

  • Proven experience managing high-volume university recruiting in fast-paced or startup environments, with the ability to build and scale programs from the ground up.

  • Experience recruiting for both technical and non-technical roles, with a strong understanding of diverse early talent pipelines.
