Job Description

Digital Sun is seeking a creative 3D Artist to join their team in Valencia, Spain. The role involves bringing characters, environments, and assets to life through 3D art. Responsibilities include modeling, texturing, and UV mapping for games, creating both high-poly and low-poly models optimized for real-time rendering, and ensuring strong art foundations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work in a Spanish and English-speaking environment. The role offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to work on high-quality games.
Must have:
  • Experience in 3D modeling software (Blender, Maya, etc.) with at least 2 years.
  • Strong understanding of modeling, texturing, and UV mapping for games.
  • Experience in creating high and low poly models for real-time rendering.
  • Strong art foundations, preferably with fine arts studies, and a portfolio.
  • Experience with game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine) and their asset pipelines.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git, Perforce, etc.).
  • Good understanding of lighting, shading, and rendering techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in Spanish and English.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of PBR workflows for texturing (e.g., Substance Painter, Photoshop).
  • Experience in creating characters, environments, and props for games.
  • Basic understanding of rigging and skinning characters for animation.
  • Familiarity with ZBrush or other sculpting tools.
  • Experience with animation and/or creating assets for motion capture.
  • Knowledge of VFX and particle systems.
  • Experience with console and PC development.
  • Familiarity with agile development processes (e.g., Scrum or Kanban).

We are seeking a creative and talented 3D Artist to join our in-house team in the vibrant city of Valencia, Spain.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience in 3D modeling software (e.g., Blender, Maya, 3ds Max) with at least 2 years of experience in professional or personal projects.
  • Strong understanding of modeling, texturing, and UV mapping for games.
  • Experience in creating both high-poly and low-poly models optimized for real-time rendering.
  • Strong art foundations, preferably with fine arts studies, with a portfolio showcasing a range of 3D work.
  • Experience with game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine) and their asset pipelines.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce, Plastic SCM, etc.)
  • Good understanding of lighting, shading, and rendering techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a Spanish and English-speaking environment.
