Your mission
Squeeze is looking for an experienced visual effects (FX) artist. The artist generates FX animations, procedural simulations, dynamic simulations, particle and fluid systems for the visual effects of a video game cinematic. They are responsible for lighting, rendering, and moderate-level compositing of complex shots under the guidance of their supervisor. This is a short contract starting October 20 until November 14.
Your main responsibilities
- Design and create FX animations, procedural simulations, dynamic simulations, particle and fluid systems;
- Set up particle-heavy shots;
- Write / modify procedural surface shaders and volumetric shaders;
- Animate objects moderately;
- Create quality effects using Houdini;
- Any other related tasks.

You have
- Relevant training related to the field of 3D animation and image synthesis;
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in FX;
- Strong compositing skills and practical knowledge of Nuke;
- Solid experience in animation film or VFX visual FX;
- Good command of Houdini, Maya and Nuke software;
- An artistic sense;
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills;
- Ability to script the pipeline, an asset;
- Experience with the Redshift rendering engine, an asset.
