Job Description

Studio Image Works is seeking a 3D Generalist with experience in game and product development. The role involves creating high-quality 3D art assets, including modeling, texturing, and asset implementation in game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine. Responsibilities include collaborating with the asset team, contributing to the overall design, and optimizing assets. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of 3D software (3ds Max, Maya, ZBrush), Photoshop, and a portfolio showcasing modeling and texturing skills. Candidates should be comfortable working on any part of the art pipeline. Furthermore, the role involves creating high quality 3D art assets in collaboration with the asset team, staging and implementing assets in the unreal engine in collaboration with a developer, contribute to overall design and visual direction of the animation, Clean up and modify assets as needed, Contribute to the development of the art pipeline as team grows.
Must Have:
  • Create high-quality 3D art assets in collaboration with the asset team.

Studio Image Works is looking for a 3D Generalist with game and product development experience to create quality art assets having good working knowledge of 3dsmax,Maya, ZBrush etc. Proficiency in Photoshop and Unity will be an added advantage. 


Job Type: Full-time

Salary: ₹25,000.00 to ₹40,000.00 /month

Responsibilities and Duties

    As a Generalist, you should be comfortable with working on any part of the art pipeline, but especially strong with modelling, texturing, and asset implementation with Unity/Unreal Engine. You should have a keen eye for style and an interest in a diverse range of 3D aesthetics. We are looking for someone able to take asset concepts and break them down into their executable components across the pipeline.

  • Create high quality 3D art assets in collaboration with the asset team

  • Stage and implement assets in the unreal engine in collaboration with a developer

  • Contribute to overall design and visual direction of the animtion

  • Clean up and modify assets as needed

  • Contribute to the development of the art pipeline as team grows

  • Experience in implementing art assets with any game engine, with knowledge of best practices

  • A keen eye for aesthetic and style

  • Strong knowledge of at least one 3D suite (Maya LT, Blender)

  • Asset Integration into Game engine (Unity3d / Unreal)

  • Strong knowledge of Photoshop/Substance Suite.

  • Some experience with rigging and animation

  • knowledge of asset optimization

  • Knowledge of PBR material pipelines (e.g. Substance)

  • Knowledge of level and game design fundamentals

  • Basic knowledge of Unity’s and Unreal Engine’s animation systems

  • Ability to use Unreal engine / Unity-based tools like ProBuilder or any other tool for greyboxing

  • A strong and diverse portfolio with demonstrable modelling and texturing abilities for video games
