We’re looking for an Account Executive who wants to build something, not just maintain it. This is a high-performance sales role designed for those who take ownership, move fast, and thrive on competition. You’ll sell in targeted B2B and vertical markets, develop business directly with decision-makers, and represent a company driving change across industries through content, storytelling, and technology.
What You’ll Do
- Drive outbound business development into specific verticals and target accounts
- Prospect and connect via phone, email, and social channels (especially LinkedIn) with energy and consistency
- Manage and grow a book of business, owning the full sales cycle from lead generation through close
- Write with precision, business writing is a core requirement of this role
- Participate in and contribute to media creation: podcasts, videos, social storytelling, and event coverage
- Represent MarketScale at industry events, trade shows, and conferences (travel expected about once per month)
- Collaborate with internal sales, media, and technology teams to strengthen pipeline performance and client impact
- Use best-in-class tools: Salesforce, Microsoft products, Loom, AI-powered deal rooms, and more
- Play an active role in MarketScale’s technology roadmap, providing client feedback and sales insights that shape our products
Who You Are
- Proven B2B sales professional with 5–10 years of measurable success in business development or account management
- Confident in outbound selling: you’re comfortable generating and advancing your own opportunities
- Excellent communicator and writer. Business writing and social communication are natural strengths
- Interested in media, marketing, and the fast-changing world of content creation
- Excited by innovation and disruptive marketing strategies; you like what’s new and different
- Energetic, optimistic, competitive, and accountable, you create momentum rather than waiting for it
- Experienced in SaaS, media, or technology sales is a plus, but not required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; proven performance, work ethic, and focus matter most
