Job Description

Buckman, a global leader in specialty chemicals for Pulp & Paper, Leather, and Water Treatment, seeks an Account Manager for the Netherlands. This role involves managing existing accounts to achieve positive operating profit and identifying new business opportunities within the region. You will ensure a continuous supply pipeline, meet sales targets, and provide exceptional service and support to customers, demonstrating technical expertise and identifying continuous improvement projects with clear ROI. The position also requires coaching and mentoring field representatives and potentially leading a small team in the future. The role emphasizes independent work with support from European colleagues.
Must have:
  • 10 years of selling experience in Paper Technologies
  • Bachelor's degree in Paper Chemistries or Chemical Engineering
  • Fluent in Dutch and English

To further support our growth, we are looking for an Account Manager for the Netherlands.

 

Mission Statement

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Account Manager to grow sales in Netherlands using Buckman’s unique technologies and customer relationship management programs. You will be able to work independently whilst will having support from your colleagues located across European region.

 

Expectations for the role

  • Managing your accounts by focusing on positive operating profit
  • Establishing business opportunities at new accounts in your region
  • Ensuring the continuous supply of midterm project pipeline
  • Identifying and achieving sales targets and forecasts
  • Providing customers with required service and support to develop our position while delivering the budgeted profitability
  • Taking proactive approach in demonstrating and selling technical competence and identifying continuous improvement projects and showing clear ROI
  • Coach, train, and mentor the field representatives & technical representatives within your assigned key accounts
  • Running trials and making sure trials’ evaluation plans are done
  • Ensuring timely payment of invoices
  • Manage inventories to a practical minimum. Coach, train, and mentor other field representatives & technical representatives when required
  • Potential to lead a small team in the future as the sales grow

 

 

Minimum requirement to apply

  • Successful selling experience in Paper Technologies industry (10 Years as a minimum)
  • Specific training in Paper Chemistries or Chemical Engineering is necessary (Bachelor’s degree is a must)
  • Language: Dutch and English
