Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our growing PHINIA quality team as an Advanced Quality Manager! This position will support us in quality function and reports to Quality Manager. Key responsibilities include providing AQM resources, weekly project status updates, setting AQM goals, team reviews, coaching, monthly APQP reviews, leading PCR/POR implementation, reviewing lessons learned, PPAP compliance monitoring, and providing onsite support during launch.
Must Have:
  • Provide/obtain AQM resources for assigned projects.
  • Provide weekly project APQP/escalation status updates to management.
  • Set up AQM goals and provide required support/tools to team.
  • Lead weekly AQM team reviews to identify risk projects and items.
  • Coach AQM team based on competency matrix.
  • Lead AQM team for PCR/POR implementation for PDP quality concerns.
  • Monitor full PPAP on time compliance.
  • Provide onsite support to APU quality during launch period.
  • Bachelor degree or above in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of automotive engineering, quality, manufacturing experience.
  • At least 5 years in quality management role.
  • Good command of English in oral and writing.
  • Good command of MS. Office.
  • Familiar with IATF16949, automotive standards (AIAG or VDA 2, 4, 6.3) and 5 quality tools.
  • Experience at quality problem solving.
  • Good on project management and APQP requirement.
  • Excellent organizational, oral and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join our growing PHINIA quality team as a Advanced Quality Manager! This position will support us in quality function and reports to Quality Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide/obtain right AQM resources to the assigned projects
  • Provide weekly project APQP/escalation status update to management team
  • Set up AQM goal and provide the required support/tools to team to achieve the goal
  • Weekly AQM team review (one-one) to identify risk projects and risk items, and escalate to the management (with solution and/or help needed) when necessary.
  • Coach AQM team based on team's competency matrix
  • Monthly project APQP review with global AQM team for project server compliance.
  • Lead AQM team to push PCR/POR implementation for PDP quality concerns
  • Review lessons learned and get it incorporated into similar product/process designs
  • Full PPAP on time compliance monitoring
  • Provide onsite support to APU quality during the launch period to facilitate the transfer of the quality systems and lessons learned.
  • Support Line Side Review & monitor the closure of the quality related concerns.
  • Customer specific requirement review for the new quote, focus on new customers
  • Accomplish tasks assigned by supervisor or manager
  • Make safety and environment the most important criteria in the working area and for the individual

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor degree or above in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of automotive engineering, quality, manufacturing experiences in multi-national company. At least 5 years in quality management role, plant quality manager experience is preferred.
  • Good command of English in oral and writing
  • Good command of MS. Office
  • Familiar with IATF16949, automotive standards (AIAG or VDA 2, 4, 6.3) and 5 quality tools
  • Experience at quality problem solving
  • Good on project management and APQP requirement
  • Excellent organizational skill
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills and good leadership skill
