The Animator will be responsible for delivering high-quality in-game animations and collaborating with technical artists, designers, and programmers. Key responsibilities include creating keyframed gameplay animations, taking animations from concept to implementation in Unity, and coordinating with different teams. The role also involves a focus on developing games that the animator would enjoy playing. The candidate should be proficient in 3D packages, animation principles, and possess excellent communication skills. Must have:
  • Proficient in 3D packages like Maya, Blender or 3d Studio Max
  • Experienced in creating high poly models in Zbrush
  • Proficient in texturing packages such as Substance Painter
Good to have:
  • Proficient understand of timing, posing and acting
  • Strong foundation in the principles of animation
  • Excellent communication skills

Your day to day tasks will include:

  • Delivery of high quality in-game animations in a timely manner

  • Coordination with technical artist to work with character rigs and FX

  • Coordinate with designers to facilitate gameplay and programmers for implementation of tools and for scripting animations into game engine

  • Create keyframed gameplay animations

  • Take animation from initial concept through to implementation in Unity

  • Developing games that you yourself would want to play!

Technical Requirements:

  • Proficient in a 3D packages including: Maya, Blender or 3d Studio Max

  • Experienced in creating high poly models in Zbrush

  • Proficient in texturing packages such as Substance Painter

  • Traditional 3D texturing techniques with Photoshop

  • Proficient in Unity and/or Unreal 4+

Other Skills:

  • Proficient understand of timing, posing and acting

  • Strong foundation in the principles of animation

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to manage and switch between different projects and adapt to different animation styles.
