Emerald City Games is looking for a QA Engineer to join their team. The responsibilities include reviewing and writing test cases, automating them in a timely manner, designing and performing automated smoke passes on builds, ensuring quality assurance standards are met, and communicating issues to leadership. Must have:
  • 1+ Years of experience in Quality Assurance in software or games
  • Knowledge of Automation tools and experience automating test cases
  • Experience performing Quality assurance on mobile projects
  • Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks
  • Good communication skills with internal and external partners
  • Excellent written communication skills for test cases and reports
  • High attention to detail
Good to have:
  • Experience having shipped 1+ games with support of a team
  • Experience in SQL or other query languages
  • Experience working with remote colleagues
  • Knowledge of the Tomb Raider franchise
  • Jira experience
  • Asana experience

Emerald City Games is a collection of the best designers, developers and artists, and we’re looking for an awesome  QA Engineer to join our team!

Someone that has a good work ethic, attitude and wants to work on great games with great people.

Tasks include but certainly won’t be limited to:

  • Review and provide well-written test cases for potential automation ensuring full coverage of incoming features

  • Automation of previously reviewed test cases in a timely and functional manor

  • Design and perform automated smoke passes on incoming builds in preparation for releases within a short time frame

  • Ensure Quality assurance standards are being met

  • Highlight and effectively communicate issues to leadership for resolution

  • Developing games that you yourself would want to play!

Requirements:

  • 1+ Years of experience working in Quality Assurance in either software or games

  • Knowledge of Automation tools and previous experience automating test cases

  • Experience performing Quality assurance on mobile projects

  • Good organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and requirements

  • Good communication skills with experience in communications with internal and external partners and teams

  • Excellent written communication skills with experience writing test cases, bug reports and minor documentation

  • High attention to detail

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience having shipped 1+ games with support of a team

  • Experience in SQL or other query languages

  • Experience working with remote colleagues

  • Knowledge of the Tomb Raider franchise

  • Jira experience

  • Asana experience
